At Tacoma Bible College we believe that academic study is incomplete without discipleship training.  Discipleship training is best learned through service experiences.  Therefore, in order to provide students with such training, Tacoma Bible College has developed its Christian Ministry Program.

                                    Program Objectives

The objectives of the Christian Ministry Program are:

                                    • To provide opportunity for Christian fellowship, discipleship and service.
                                    • To expose students to the diversity and needs of humanity.
                                    • To develop skills in applying Biblical principles to practical life situations.
                                    • To encourage students in their personal spiritual life and relationship with Jesus Christ.
                                    • To develop qualities of leadership including:- Initiative

                                         - Ability to develop and communicate vision and purpose.

                                         - Administrative capacity to plan, organizes, direct, and supervises others all within the constraining love of Christ.

+ To cultivate a sense of joy in the responsibility in carrying out the various Christian service assignments.

+ To develop sensitivity toward serving others.

+ To aid in the propagation of the Gospel.

The Christian Ministry program is designed to provide students the opportunity for hands on, personal discipleship from mature and experienced leaders who are actively engaged in Christian service and ministry.  Students gain a rich experience from participating in Christian ministries and discipleship, but are also challenged with the application of academic study in practical life situations.

Through its partnerships with local Churches, organizations, and ministry leaders, Tacoma Bible College provides a number of Christian ministry options.  Students may be assigned to a particular ministry, or may be offered the opportunity to choose from the available ministries.   Students will remain with that ministry for the duration of the semester.

Every student is required to participate in Christian Ministry, serving a minimum of 2 hours per week and must complete at least 100 Christian Ministry sessions in order to be eligible to apply for graduation.

Students will observe and participate in the ministry under the supervision of the Christian Ministry Discipleship Leader.  Students will also meet to debrief with their ministry leader following each ministry session.  Students will then complete one Christian Ministry Log, including signature from the Christian Ministry Discipleship Leader.

You may view or print the Christian Ministry Log sheet below, or download it here.
