Associate Degree Program (A.D.)
Students successfully completing a prescribed course of study (60 credits), and who fulfill all of the graduation requirements, may apply to graduate with commendation of the Chancellor, President, Dean of Academics, Dean of Students, Administration and faculty of Tacoma Bible College with an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies.
The Associate of Biblical Studies Degree Curriculum provides the student with a foundation in the Bible, the fundamentals of the Christian faith and an overall general education. Upon completing the Associated Degree program, students may elect to pursue a Bachelor Degree at Tacoma Bible College. The credits from the Associate Degree will transfer toward the requirements for the Bachelor Degree programs
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the Associate Degree program, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the basic introductory aspects of the Bible and a broad understanding of the cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith.
- Communicate the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ by both written and oral methods.
- Express the reality of their personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ as well as provide an adequate defense for the faith and convictions.
- Convey a foundational understanding of constituent aspects of the Christian culture, the importance of Biblical values, and the role of ministering Christ to society.
- Exhibit a consistent lifestyle of Christian worship, discipline, and service through ministry.
- Understand the eternal value of higher Christian education and its relevance for the future life and ministry.
- Utilize their knowledge and practical experience gained through their Christian Ministry service to support the work of Christ in any local Christian church throughout the world.
Associate of Biblical Studies Degree Curriculum (A.B.S): 90 Credits Required.
