About Us
History
Tacoma Bible College began in 2001 to provide students the doctrinal and spiritual resources necessary to help them develop in their walk with God, and to equip them in their calling.
Some Tacoma Bible College students have continued on to graduate school and to the foreign mission field, such as Chile and Argentina, while others are pursuing the pastorate locally.
They have taken the foundation of biblical truth and experience with them, thus fulfilling the Great Commission
Mission Statement
The mission of TBC, as a service to the Body of Christ, is to provide a Biblical education that supplies the spiritual and educational resources to prepare and train today’s individuals to be the Christian leaders of tomorrow wherever their spiritual vocation and profession in life take them.
Educational Philosophy
We believe that the premise of truth, knowledge and wisdom is found in and imparted through the inspired Word of God.
One cannot have true wisdom apart from knowing God. The inspired Word of God declares Him to be the Truth and Depository of all wisdom and knowledge. He is our provision for life and conduct, and He is our Master Teacher.
While imparting specific knowledge, we also strive to accurately communicate his divine viewpoint and it's relationship to the natural sciences and one's self-image.
Instructors teach and test to approximate the actual demands and decisions encountered in one's life and ministry.
The General Goals of TBC Are To:
- Cultivate Christian living through a variety of learning experiences and personal interaction.
- Instill a comprehensive knowledge of the Bible and an understanding of Christian doctrine.
- Instill a vital missionary vision and dedication to worldwide service.
- Involve students in winning the lost to Christ and enable them to employ a variety of evangelistic methods.
